Welcome To My Website!

Hi there! I am a master’s candidate at the department of Ocean Sciences at Memorial University researching urchins and kelp with my supervisor Patrick Gagnon.

Research

During my undergraduate degree I developed a passion for ecology and understanding the interactions that occur throughout marine communities.  I am still at the beginning steps of my career but have had the opportunity to study behavioural ecology in crabs, study community and biodiversity changes in coral reefs, work at one of the top aquariums in the world and dive all around North America. My current research aims to better understand the underlying ecological processes that influence sea urchin gonad development as well as kelp recruitment and resilience. I spend my days at the beautiful Ocean Science Centre, in Logy Bay, NL, as well as spend majority of my time exploring the depths of the cold North Atlantic waters.
